Bradley Fire Support Team

Packing a 25 mm cannon, a ring laser gyroscope inertial navigation system, a new targeting station control panel and a new mission processor unit that automates the fire request system, the Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle (BFIST) ensures successful completion of fire support missions by day or night.

Seeing combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom, the BFIST supplies accurate target location and fire support while maintaining the mobility, survivability and supportability that has made the Bradley a battle-proven system that consistently earns praise from soldiers and commanders for its capabilities on the battlefield.

The BFIST is equipped with a laser range finder and FLIR capability that ensure accuracy. The BFIST carries a three-man or four-man Fire Support Team (FIST) that can effectively perform a fire mission when on the move, while keeping up with the maneuver force it supports.
